I wouldn't repaint my orange bodywork; I would see about buying some scratched or otherwise cheap bodywork on eBay or something, and have it painted.

I do like the 2011 black and green color, except for how they did the headlight pod. I think the sides should have been green and the inset black instead of vice versa.

But I've seen SO many white/orange ones that I started thinking about maybe doing something different.

Thoughts?

The guy who sold me my 2010 bought an Orange/White one himself. He painted all the orange green along with the air scoops and belly pan.

It looks good, but I still like the orange better.

Before painting the body parts, he traded out silver for orange, so there's a guy around here running around with a black/orange one. I haven't seen it yet, but I can already tell, I'll be jealous.

That black/orange does sound slick. Would love to see photos of it.

I'm a big fan of white, which is one of the reasons I love mine. But I also like the two-tone color setup. I really do love the orange too, it just seems like it's getting "old" since there are so many of them... but then again, that's online too so in reality it may not be that bad.

Yeah, it's nice to have something that is all yours and nobody else has one like it. That's one of the reasons we all got Z's right? It's your bike, make it yours. But at the same time, how many Z1000's do you actually see on the road?

I feel sorry for guys riding R6, cbr600rr and any full dress harley. They blend in with everyone else.

That green/white/black looks sick; Here I am aiming for just something mainly matte-black (... oh 2011 ebony-scheme, how I would love to violate your parts-bin...) with some custom airbrushing to evoke the Jolly Roger (thus my interest in the clear screen) or to go back to my roots, and do it up in blue and white to evoke Scottish pride.

As for rarity, I've only seen 1 other Z in my part of Florida - an older orange one when I went out to Mugs an' Jugs with some friends. I have a pic of the two bikes - My '10 and the older body - somewhere. When I find it, I'll slap it in the forum somewhere.
