So i have a two weeks old 2021 z1000r with 600 kms on the clock wondering if its normal that the idle/rpm gets a little higher to 1.8k rpm on 4th-6th gear? You can notice this when you press the clutch lever rpm/idle is normal on 1st-3rd gear

Why would you care how the bike idles when in gear? Idle RPM is adjusted when bike is in neutral so that there is no clutch drag affecting idle speed.

I have a 2020 Z1000R. I have not experienced that in pressing the clutch when at 1st to 3rd gear to go to idle mode. The thing that I have experienced in the first two weeks of my brand new bike way back then was the idling is superbly high once I switched on the engine from cold start. After a minute, the engine idling lowers itself automatically to a normal level which I assumed. Now, after month of using the Z1000R, I do not experience any high RPM in idling at neutral mode or when switching the engine from cold start.
