$40 is a good price for that. did you at least try finding any torrents for the service manual? might be because the bike is still pretty new thats why theres no manuals online. was it ebay store you bought it from or just a private ebay seller?
Bought mine from the dealer. Piracy issues aside, I'd rather have a proper physical copy. It's worth it.
Just did a search on ebay and found a couple sellers that had the official Black and White Service manual from Kawasaki.
Went in and sniped it at the end.
It has everything! Over 600 pages covering all aspects of the bike!
Actual service manual from Kawasaki so you dont have to carry your laptop outside with greasy fingers trying to look up info!

i've got a nearly new service manual for 2010 z1000 will sell for 35.00 shipped. send me a message.
I for one, am with the OP. I'd like a pdf copy of the 2010-11 service manual. Paper copy is useless to me -- just something to get lost, beatup while in use and possibly eaten by my dog. A pdf takes only a few MB of space on the ol' HDD; can print the pages needed for whatever part(s) being operated on, and not worry about getting greazy mitts on the paper.
If someone were to find it in (not free) digital format.....might be interested in sharing the cost. Just thought I'd throw that out there.... ;-)

So much easier & cleaner just printing the pages you need.
ccasion:i have the manual in pdf format and i think its 2010. I'll check it first then I'll post it for free
