Could you please recommend the best place to purchase a 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 service manual? I'm a "do it yourself" type of guy, and would like to buy the manual so I don't have to go to the stealership.

I have an 89 kawasaki ninja zx1000 and i am rebuilding the engine and the service manual doenst say how to align the counter balance shaft with the crank shaft. The counter shaft has a dot on the weight but the crank does not have any marks at all. It is all ready to go except for that. If anyone can help please let me know.

I have the link for 03-06 and 07-08 somewhere.... I can find it if you'd like.
The factory manual is only $60.
And im sure it will be more comprehensive than a haynes or chilton.
Ebay usually has people selling off old manuals as well. I have found some great ones in the past for older motorcycles. I would avoide the temptation to buy the downloadable PDF versions despite the convencince there is still somthing to be said about not having your laptop open while you try and work on your bike in the garage.

My new macbook is new and I want to keep it looking that way ;)
I've always gotten my manuals from torrents online. It beats paying for it. Plus its easier having it electronically rather than having it in paper.
torrents sound like a good idea. Gotta be careful you dont download anything nasty with them but hey if you find a good copy it is free.
hy, does any one know were i can find the manual??

thanks
hy,maybe somewone can give me the page of the wiringdiagram from the gauge,or send it to me trough an email, please I won't to instal my gear indicator from datatool:).

thank you very much:D
For a bike this new, your best bet is the dealer. Don't waste your money on a Haynes or Chilton, they're 100% WORTHLESS. I have a factory manual for my Suzuki DR650 and it's excellent. I also have a PDF version which is nice since I have it in my phone in case I need it while on a ride or something.

I ordered my factory manual off ebay for 60.00
It is so comprehensive ive been reading it for months.
Lots of info!
The bike can diagnose its fi probs on its own.
That alone would save you as much and more than having it serviced at the dealer!
What ever happend to those russian websites that let you download the pdfs for free?
The only manuel that I found was for a 2003 in German(!):dontknow:

Does anyone have a link?
Just buy it. It's cheaper than the price of paying a mechanic to do anything to your bike.

That, or wait for someone who has the patience to pull that whole thing apart and scan it. It's a big ole book.
geeez id love to know where ya got a workshop manual for $60 , the shop here has quoted $800.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf ?
It's asking for a decryption key?

I found the service manual, but am looking for an electronic version of the owners manual as well. Anyone know where to download one? I like to have that on my phone, so that if I need to find out something it is at my fingertips. Thanks.
