I have a 2010 z1000 i bought a couple months ago, has abouit 800 miles. I can hear a noise coming from the engine when the clutch is engaged, i noticed it when taking off and the bike was in neutral. The noise goes away when I pull the clutch in. It isnt a clunk or vibration, its sounds kinda like the hum of a fan. Anyone know if this is normal? Thanks.

Yes it's normal. It's the needle bearing on the outer clutch plate.

I have been getting the same noise when I pull the clutch in... and it is pretty annoying... I thought it was the chain at first.

It is definitely not there when it is cold out, but I feel like it has been getting louder with time.
