I am looking into upgrading to an after market exhaust on my 06 Z1000.
I am looking for any replies as what has been good unit and what has been bad. I have found an interesting unit by Leo Vince that is a slip on style which converts it to a single sided does anyone have any prior knowledge of this particular one?

i just put a MUZZY full system on my 2004. i recomend getting slips [2] or go to a full 4-1 system. i think MUZZY is not making new stuff for the 03-06 Z 1000.
New to this forum, so I'm no expert. I just bought my 06 and it had Two Brothers slip-ons with the quiet ends. I don't know what it would sound like wide open, but it has a really nice rumble at idle and still howls when wide open. I don't want anything TOO raucus on mine. Of course, I'm an old fart so take that into considerztion. Oh, yeah, they look good too.

not much HP to be had. you do save about 25 LBS getting rid of the stock mufflers. the stock head pipe is very light , maybe 4 LBS. keep the slips you already have and just have fun. my 2c. i have seen dyno charts showing 2 HP at 9,500 RPM big deal. i am talking about 03 - 06 Z 1000.

That's good to know. I'll stow that away in my little peanut brain.
Thanks for the info.
