I have been looking since last Summer for a steering damper for my 2010 Zed. Found a line on another forum. A guy in Taiwan sells it. Available either in gold color or semi-polished alu. Can supply a mount that is compatible with a Hyperpro or an Ohlins. I bought the gold kit suitable for a Hyperpro. Excellent quality, easy install and most important, transformed my front end, especially at the track and when hard on the gas on bumpy roads.

If you've been looking for one, give Heng a call or email. His English is really good and quick service. The mount was delivered in three days and I bought the damper locally.

He has the mount for either a Hyperpro or an Ohlins. The bodies of the dampers are different, hence the two different kits. You just have to let him know which damper you will be using. The mounting kit was $163 shipped to my door (Singapore). As you can see from the pic, I am using a 75mm Hyperpro RSC.

Wallycycle, I've talked with Hyperpro staff in Holland and they told to me they are unable to made a mounting kit fitting the Z1000 WITH NO fairing cutting...How is possible that a Taiwanese guy in his garage is smarter than Hyperpro engineers?

I beg your pardon for my poor english...

Maybe Bro', maybe...
I repeat that, I know Hyperpro staff (my best friend is the italian importer) and FOR A COMMERCIAL CHOICE they don't build NEVER something requiring any fairing modification...

I fear that taiwanese kit can't assure total relaibility...

However, the real Z1000 instability problem is due to the crappy and stiffy rear shock...the steering damper can disguise or cover the problem but can't solve it.

First thing IMHO is to change the rear shock unit with a bottom-range Hyperpro unit (for road use is useless and expensive to choice a shock with ten-thousand regulation)...

I've been waiting a writing/calling to these guys since April.

Last friday I've got an email that the mounting kit have arrived just to find out today when I send the confirmation (one more time) that they are already sold out!

Worst customer service I've had in ages. Good luck getting one from this place.

Now I need to find a use for HyperPro RSC damper which is lying on the shelf for some months now. :-/

Hey, I'm from the uk but live in Taichung, Taiwan, just down the road from Gochen. They make the hypepro and also have a pretty decent line in other accessories through their DMV line. Worth checking out. I'll post a link in a sec. If anyone wants I can drop by there and find out whats up.
