04 Z Bogging down on acceleration, fuel cap hissing.

Hey all, recently bought an 04 Z1000, absolutely excellent bike. It’s pretty low mileage, and ran perfect up until yesterday when I went for a ride and towards the tail end of it noticed I was losing power for a second or two on acceleration. Seemed to be right around the 5000 RPM mark but hard to tell if that’s consistently where it was happening. I was able to get it home and when I stopped I noticed my fuel cap was hissing due to built up pressure. I’m assuming the two issues are linked, but just wondering if anyone else has had this issue/ where I should start looking.

The fuel cap hissing or singing is completely normal and not a fault. The hesitation will take trial and error to diagnose,it could be fuel, mechanical or electrical. Start with one thing at a time. Some things to get the ball rolling.

Plugs.
Coil sticks.
Bad fuel.

Thanks for the insight, I may have worded it incorrectly on my part, after reading it back over. I’m used to the general hissing, but this was much louder than usual, as if I it had built up a lot of pressure. I’ve ridden it since this post and didn’t have any bogging issues, and venting seems back to normal so may have just been a one off, if it reoccurs I’ll start the trial and error process!

I used to have a bogging problem my issue was my fuel injectors had rust particulars in it and cleaned that out with gas and fuel pump and haven’t had a issue yet anyone know front sprockets 530 series. For the front
