Does any one know the socket size for the hub nut to get the Clutch hub off?

How does making the groove too deep affect this? I can't picture it.

I quoted him for context, not necessarily expecting an answer from him directly.

Video Done!!! Problem solved

Hey,

I had to do this mod for the chattering and even stalling issue. As I let out the clutch at the lights, the chatter kicked in and was so bad it stopped the motor with the drag.

Part 1 - Disassembly
https://youtu.be/h5Jd0WXhdhU
Part 2 - Basket Drilling
https://youtu.be/q0ZqX_QgoOw
Part 3 - Clutch re-assembly
https://youtu.be/qUj8Tv8sv9c
Part 4 - Cover install, comments and antifreeze change
https://youtu.be/Dn_8kwo7eLs

Works as described. No more issues. I didn't mod the clutch pin, didn't need it.
i-man and rcannon like this.

Does anyone know if there were similar issues with the 2007-2009 gen2 clutches as well? Mine lurches a bit when shifting into first, cant adjust it out with the lever so I'm thinking somethings funky with my clutch... just bout the bike and need to oil change it first tho...

Do they still not make a modified basket?

What's the purpose of grinding the pin down?

I watched gav.man videos which were very good but I noticed he didn't grind it down, so is it necessary? How do you know if it is necessary or not?

Hope someone will respond as mine has always made a bit of a noise but lately has been sticking a bit so as I don't use mine much I may leave it as a winter project.
