2003 Z1000 Looking for quiter exhaust

I have a 2003 with a Muzzy full Titanium system but it is too loud. Am I able to replace the muffler with a quieter one or do I have to look at a new full system. I have no original parts. Bought it like this. I ride the freeway a lot at 5000 rpm and it is deafening me. Live in Los Angeles. Will sell parts I take off.

I have stock exhausts I can sell you, or we can work out a trade of sorts. Send me a message.

That Muzzy Ti system is really nice. I would suggest maybe repacking the muffler with more fiberglass. I think you can order it for Muzzy.

I noticed a 28 lb difference between the Muzzy Ti system and the stock exhaust. Knowing you'll add on 28 lbs might slow you down from adding the stock exhaust back on the bike. Look into the Muzzy muffler packing.

Muzzy is no longer in business, but you can get packing most anywhere. The system is not loud when re-packed. Grab a drill and pull out the end of the can, pack it tight with some masking tape to hold the form, push back in and install new rivets. Just don't use the dirt bike packing as it blows out quick.

Julien,
I am taking off my stock pipes when my bike arrives - are you still looking for a replacement?
