Bar End Turn Signal for 2010 Z1000

Guys,
Riding season will soon be upon us and I am touching up my ride. I am trying to install Bar End turn signal lights. I don't seem to figure out if the bar is hollow or solid? I tried drilling from the ends but it's not piercing through to get the wires in. Starting to wonder if the bar is solid. Any previous experiences of installing those cool looking turn signals out there?
Responses are highly appreciated.

Original bars? Hollow, but there's a nut welded on the end that the bar-ends screw into.

Thanks John. Is there an easy way to get that welded nut out? Might have drilled halfway through while trying to figure it out the first time. Not sure if continue to drill it all the way or there is another way.

Sorry, but I don't know, and can't check, since I threw them away after they got bent.

The Pro-Taper adventure bars are a similar dimension, and definitely hollow.
