Did most maintenance items, last thing to do is change air filter and spark plugs as well as tires... then it's golden. Bike is now already running great!!

Good decision. Tremendous upgrade from the previous bike for sure. Comparisons between power weight brakes susp etc.. aside, just go with your gut. There are some things that canít be quantified with specs. I see a lot of bikes, I say hey thatís cool, then I move on. Never saw a ďmust have nowĒ until the Z. I donít care about the h2 or the r1 or the RR beating me in the 1/4 by 1 sec. I say put your **** up and take it to the track. The real fast bikes arenít on the street, and are only as good as the pilot. I ride what I like, and I like what you ride. Welcome to the forum and wish many happy miles ahead.

I have a 2016 Z1000 that I bought new and it has been a delight. Certainly more power than I "need", but agile and equipped with great brakes. I looked at the Yamaha as well as I made my decisions and decided that the Z1000 had more that pleased me than the FZ-09.
Enjoy!
