I wouldn't wire into existing circuits as you could overload the ckt. The best way to wire something in is to wire a relay, get direct voltage from the battery to a relay, relay to the component and a 12V switch to the relay to turn it on. The 12V switch to the relay can be from any 12V source really as it will carry only a very small load to switch the relay, then the heavy load will be through the relay directly to the battery.

I appreciate all the feedback, but you may as well be speaking Japanese... I need visual references. Maybe a video someone can recommend. I can follow instructions pretty well, can solder. Or I may have to find someone who knows what he is doing and do it together.

My thoughts exactly. I still need to go though my original wiring job and use different connectors to quick disconnect panels and such. ...call it a revision 1. But the diagram I posted a link to is a full on step by step procedure that worked well for this novice.

Here it is again: Wiring diagram please pardon the large text!! lol sometimes it's hard to see the highlighted link.
