The first thing I will do is stop by a dealer and ask if there is Any way they can get me a black and red one.
Even if they have to order it and I have to wait.
Probably Weds as I have off for veterans day.

If that's not possible, then ya, I will just have a broker do all the legwork.
Which isn't much, so I read.
Few hundred.

Black and red are my favorite colors.
Add that to one sick looking and sounding machine......
That's why I'm hell bent on a black and red one!

Sorry forgot to say.
I'm luckily in Pennsylvania.
So I'm not far from Canada, if I need to go there.

There is no good reason why Kawi doesn't offer two color schemes. Don't understand it and I'm not buying the loss of $ theory - sorry rc, no offense!

Maybe the bottom line is that the Zed does not sell that well in the states so it gets less attention. When the Gen4 Zed was introduced maybe that color scheme did so well (as compared to previous sales), they wanted to give it another go?

I'll take the black one.

I'm moving to Canada

I doubt its because the 2014 scheme did well that they chose to go at the ugliest one again.
As the USA got shafted on the 2014 as well~!
The orange 2014 is sweet as hell too!

Americans had no choice but to buy the Only one available.

& as to why canada got two options has me absolutely Baffled!
vs the USA.

Just compare riding seasons between the 2 countries as a whole & there ya go!
Im no weather expert or travel much but it seems the entire southern half of the USA has 10+ month riding seasons, 12 the further south ya go.
Furthest I've been from Pa is NC & NC is close to a 10 month riding state (good riding friend is from NC)

Im sure they sold more in the USA then Canada & will try to find that now too.

Not going to get into or start a debate.
I dont care either way.

I WILL get a black & red one!

Just emailed the local dealer asking if they can get one in ANY way.
If I dont get a response by Weds, I will just stop by & ask in person.

Im just so hell bent because this TL1000S is such a friggin Nightmare!
Just buying brand spanking new now & riding it until it literally falls apart! (which will be Never)

@Tombstones, a recently bought used Triumph - which I had to work on from day one, twas my motivation to buy new too.

As rc said (um, I think it was him), you can always buy replacement plastics and make it the color you want. Did that with mine. Still not done with it

Good idea.
Only way I will do that is if I can just have the dealer order ALL the parts at once and include them in the loan.
So I'll have to figure how much more I would need as I'm getting my own financing prior.

Would be too much and take too long to buy it all myself.
As I even want the red Stock fork tubes.

Comparing the Ugly USA one vs the Black & Red.
I'll first need to find some more Actual in person photos first to confirm.
But the Grey on the 16 looks WAY darker then the ugly 14.

So if I cant financially get the Black & Red.

The Red parts on the B&R one arent many At All!

So it might be cheaper to just replace the Green on the USA version with the Red parts.
Or just have them painted, since they are small parts & wont cost much at all.

That will save money vs replacing the Grey with the Black as well.
As long as the grey is Dark!
Otherwise, it wont mesh well with the Red.

So that is also a suggestion for anyone else in the states thats bummed out on the color shaft job.

& no reply from dealership.
Still plan to stop down there Weds.
Even if they reply, so I can see one of these new bad girls in person.
& no I haven't yet, because I already know its going to drive me MADD!!!!
