Default Does anyone else think Corbin seats suck?

I ordered a seat from these jerks....it came ripped so i sent it back....they told me it would take another 5 weeks to get it fixed....I canceled the order and they kept $81.00 as a restocking fee....said it was their policy.....I say Corbin sucks and buyer beware.....there are so many other great seat options.......

I briefly considered ordering the replacement seats for my 2010 Z but decided against it. The replacements seemed too high in price and the originals really aren't that bad. I'm not planning on any long distance traveling on my bike, nor do I ride anyone else on my bike. I wonder why they just didn't honor the sale and send you a new seat rather than repairing the one they sent? Thanks for the information, you just made up my mind for me regarding a Corbin seat!!!

I didn't care for the stock seat or the Corbin that my bike came with. I sold the Corbin seat, Rizoma Clip-ons, Muzzy's Slip-ons, and put the stock seat, bars, and modified stock pipes back on to recoup some of my purchase price on the bike.

I like my Corbin. I thought the time it took to make it was slow but the guy I talked to on the phone and designed mine with was nice. We talked a few times and finally came up with something. Now, if it had come messed up I'm sure it would have been a totally different experience.
My Nephew has a friend that rides with Mike (I think) Corbin. I'm going to send your complaint up the pipeline for what it is worth.
I'd go on their website and post a complaint also. They should have at least pushed your reorder up to the front of the line!

I think any type of seat is going to be liked or disliked on a person-to-person basis since everyone has their own preferences for what feels good. For me, I'm still loving my Airhawk seat cushion that costs practically nothing compared to most custom seats and works on any bike I ride. I've had bad experiences with aftermarket seats in the past, so I don't bother with them anymore.

Also, didn't miketheshark say something about the stock seat breaking in after a bit? I'll likely try a ride with the stock seat this coming year just to see if it feels any different.

I bought lumberjacks corbin and i think i know why he didnt like it.
My main complaint with the stocker was the forward angle, the corbin wasnt much better at all. Ive got a corbin on my sv and love it(flat, firm, lots of room) many comfortable years and miles. To get to the point i pulled the cover off the corbin spent a couple of hours in my livingroom cutting and shaving and now have a seat that is perfectly carved to my seat and love it. Just my 2 cents.

What sucks about Corbin is their quality control and customer service. I've had two of their seats. Both seats had problems immediately (split seams on delivery). Corbin's response in both cases was send them back and we'll see if they are defective. Of course their response after receiving the seats? Not defective. The problems must have been from improper installation. We can fix them for you for ~$100 plus shipping. Really?!?!?

Two Sargeants. Zero problems. Who knows whether their customer service is any good. Never had to use it....
