My ONLY complaint - bar end mirrors require that you take you eyes off the road in front of you. A couple of times I looked down and when I looked up, traffic was stopped in front of me! Thank goodness for quick reflexes!
this is a very good point. On a cruiser is one thing on a fast bike like the z1000 your eyes should be on point at all times.

Hi, i want to buy arrow mirrors from CRG, i went to their site and found that they sell adapters for bar end too. I unscrewed the stock bar end and what i saw that the bar isn't hollow but it has a threaded insert welded in, so i can't use the CRG adapter. Can u give me some hints how to put them on?

Personally, I'd recommend getting Rhinomoto bar end weights that act as mirror mounts for CRG mirrors. I had them on my 599 and they worked great. They were more effective than the stock bar weights against the vibration and they fit the mirrors perfectly. Great group to deal with.

I gotta order a set for the Z once I give up being a tightwad.

Depends on what you want, I guess. A pair of the CRG adapters are $40, so for $20 more you're getting a functional weight and a protective slider.

sound like a good bargain to me. $20 more for the weights isnt that big of a deal. plus like you said they can double as sliders. like they say, if youre going to do it, do it right.

is there any aftermarket mirrors to the 2010? i dont want to change the actual mirror but the bar it's attached to, want to have it shorter/lower from the handlebar so to speak. Now the bike looks like Mickey Mouse on steroids.

that is a great analogy. sounds like most of don't like the mirrors, but come to think of it, i can't think of any of the bikes that i've owned that i liked the mirrors on anyway. always change them. haven't found any i like yet.

Just check the diameter of the bar and go on e-bay. There's plenty of motocross bars. I guess u think about a bar with a bit lower rise and less pullback, that will bring u a bit lower and more to the front of the bike, and make it look more sporty.
