Sorry to see you go Barry, but you are totally right, there has been a ton of spamming lately which is unexceptable.

I don't think I have ever seen any moderators that post unless they are unidentified, so it appears to not be very monitered at all.

I'm pretty sure the forum is simply owned by a company and because of that, there really is not any actual 'Z1000 enthusiast moderators' here that contribute and post to the site. It looks like the admin is though, but I see that they have not been on for a few days which I'm sure is the cause for the spam not being cleaned up. Because of this, that is why we do not have a bunch of moderators who are Z enthusiasts like we are frequeting the site daily, contributing and cleaning up spam. Until, they make some of us moderators, the people who frequent the site daily, I am afraid this is how it's always going to be unless they step up their game and start visiting the site more.

They obviously contract out with ad companies which is why we get spam in our inboxes once a month or so and have all the ads on the sides of pages and everything. There a lot of forums being started like this now and many of the old ones that are/were a hit are being bought out by companies for ad revenue. In simple terms, think of the site as a place of ad revenue with a forum on it which generates much of the traffic. Not to say that this a bad thing, but they need to change the way the forums are ran a bit by eventually making some of the respectful members moderators, because like I already explained, those are the people who frequent the site daily and contribute. Otherwise they would not need to do this if they were monitering the forum on their own which they have not been proving to do.

I'm working on a few things to help out around here with the spam situation. Believe it or not, this site isn't as bad as some.

I'm normally on a few times every day cleaning things up but I've been trying to shake the flu for the past week so I haven't been up on things as much as I normally am.

We appreciate the members who have been reporting the spam. Things will be getting better soon.

I hear you I owned only cruisers before the 2010 zed and I couldn't go back to the heavy underpowered vtwins. I've even toured on the Zed and end the day much happier and lessed fatigued on the Zed than on a cruiser.
