Question Best helmet for upright riding

Hi,

Just wondering if people had a view on which helmet is the best for the upright position.

I was looking at the Shark Race R Pro ......... mainly because its said to be the safest in the Shark range. But being designed for pure race fit I'm not sure if it would suit the upright position of the Z.

Thanks!

The Arai Defiant helmet was specifically designed for naked bikes, can't go wrong with an Arai helmet

I have both an Arai RX-Q and Shoei RF1200.

My Arai is my cruising / long distance helmet as it is extremely comfortable and has incredible airflow.

My Shoei is my spirited riding helmet, it's a little more stable at higher speeds and a little lighter and aerodynamic. Not as good of airflow and the visor tends to fog easier.

I'm really interested in an Arai Defiant too. My only complaint about the RX-Q is it tends to want to lift at higher speeds, the Defiant has some little airfoils on the base to help combat that.

Edit: I should add that the Arai is extremely quiet as well. Lots more wind noise in the Shoei.

I haven't checked out the Arai Defiant (rebel this side of the pond , Ireland) , just looked at some reviews. Seems perfect for upright riding.
But I've had Arai for years and I might try a different lid for awhile. But difficult to move on

I have an AGV GT Veloce. Very light, quiet and stable. This is the model that AGV claims is designed for an upright position. I came out of an RF1100. Note that the face-shield has a locking mechanism that can be opened by either hand, but it takes a bit to get used to.

Fit and finish both are excellent. Premium helmet at $599 or so. I recommend this helmet for anyone on a Z1K.

Another Arai RX-Q here..... Love it. I tried on the Shoei RF-1200 and really liked it but couldn't find a graphic I liked. Would also suggest Scorpion. I was about to purchase the Scorpion Exo R2000 but the shop through me a deal on the RX-Q that I couldn't pass up. It is the Oriental graphic which is a bit different but my favorite graphic on a helmet.
