I myself used to do the same thing but I would fine myself useing the rear brake to slow down when i went in to hot and it almost cause me to go down, so I had to break the habit. I am no racer either just having FUN
I'm pretty careful with it. I don't ever use it to wash of speed. Mostly to transition the suspension and for fine throttle control. My Zed has ABS so it's pretty bloody obvious whenever I use too much. The ABS system is pretty crude on the Zed, it works, but **** you know about it.
Wow chill guys just want my pedal alittle lower. Thought id share not cause a problem.
If you arent interested in the product cause you never use use your rear brake stop following the thread. Come on guys relax.....will post results asap .... Peace...Barry

The brake light spring is long and has a lot of adj. avail.
May have to bend and or cut it a little but shouldnt be a problem at all.
Wire cutters and needle nose or reg pliars should be all thats needed if at all.
Should be able to just turn switch in mount down to compensate.

Funny, I was taught to use both front and rear bakes evenly at all times! But that was probably for riding on the streets not the tracks.
Front brakes is over 80% of your stoping power. The rear brake is good for coming to a stop but not for riding fast. I have seen to many riders go down on the gap from hitting the back brake and sliding off the mountian. I will tell new riders to not use the back brake for at least 3weeks so they get in the habit of using the front brake.
Can't say I use it all that often for actually braking. In traffic I do, but meh. I use it more for fine throttle control and fine suspension control. It's pro for that stuff. Quite a number of GP riders used to convert the foot brake to the right hand side clip on and use it as a thumb actuated rear brake.
For casual cruising and commuting to and from work ive been trying to get myself to use the rear brake more, mainly cause rear pads are cheap(only 2)and much easier to change than a set of fronts. Rear discs are cheap too,but i still find myself on the front brakes 99% of the time.
