Default 2010 Coolant Temp Light/Fan

Does anyone know the temperature which kicks the radiator fan on? Also, how hot does it need to get before the warning light illuminates? I'm used to having a coolant temp gauge so I was hoping at least I would have a ballpark estimate how hot it was when the fans kicked on. Thanks for the info.

man you haven't received one response after having so many viewers, happens to me too.
Dont quote me on this since I dont have the manual, but the zx11 and z1000 and very similar so I know some details.
Fan should kick in somewhere around 176-183 F

I've never heard my fan kick on or have I seen a light. In 7k miles. Wonder if it works. The bike sure works.

Thanks for the info guys. The info doesn't seem to be very available. No fans on your bike Zyphyr? My 2010 has a fan...

Ah yes, that is true. 212 sounds about right. The fan on my 599 kicked on at about 220. It is frustrating to not have a gauge tho.
